Hospital Caterer Receives Long Service Award
Wednesday 21 September 2016

Hotel Services Assistant Julie Patrick has been recognised after clocking up 15 years of service at West Midlands Hospital.

She is the latest staff member to receive a long service award for her outstanding contribution from the hospital’s Human Resources department.

Julie, who is a loyal member of the catering team which serves patients on the hospital ward, was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a certificate by her colleagues.

Julie said: “The time has flown by since I started at the hospital but I’ve loved every minute of it.

“Every day is different and you meet so many lovely people on the ward every day who are recovering after their surgeries.

“It is nice to be recognised in this way and I feel proud to have worked at the hospital for this length of time.”

West Midlands Hospital rewards staff across the organisation with service awards every five years.

Patients who choose West Midlands Hospital for private healthcare treatment can benefit from convenient and flexible appointment times, their own choice of consultants and single en suite rooms.

Genevieve Allsop, Human Resources Co-ordinator at West Midlands Hospital, said: “We have lots of staff who have worked with us for many years and this is a way of recognising the enormous contribution they have made to the hospital during that time.

“We are pleased to present Julie with this award and she is a key member of the catering team here.”
