Mr Bruzual is a specialist in complex dental surgery including complex extractions such as wisdom teeth and other impacted teeth. He obtained his dental degree (BDS) in 1992 at Central University of Venezuela and then received formal specialist training and obtained his certification as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (MS in OMFS) in 1999 at Universidad de Carabobo, University Hospital in Valencia, Venezuela. One of his external rotations included visiting surgeon at the Department of Cranio-Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgery at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He then went on to complete further training in dental implant reconstruction and orthognathic surgery in 2000 and 2002 in Valencia, Venezuela. In 2003 Mr Bruzual became a consultant at Centro Medico de Caracas, one of the leading health institutions in Venezuela and Latin America. His main interest was orthognathic surgery, having performed a vast number of osteotomy and related surgeries . He also developed a large dental implant practice during 2003 until April 2010, specialising in bone reconstruction for dental implantology and complex implant treatment. In 2010 he moved to the UK and worked as a specialist doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and in March 2016 he was appointed as Consultant in Oral Surgery at the Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS trust. One of his main interest and extended competencies at the NHS base hospital is complex wisdom teeth extraction and dento-facial deformities which he undertakes regularly. Both his dental degree and specialist degree have been recognised and accepted by the General Dental Council and the specialist list for Oral Surgery. Mr. Bruzual is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon by the Latin American Association in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (BLACIBU).
